HISTORY:

The
Paterson Black Sox are an adult amateur baseball team that play in the North Jersey area.  The team was founded by Scottie Vaccaro in the Summer of 2003.  The team has played in several leagues over the years, and are currently playing in the MSM League.

In their inagural season in the Fall of 2003, the Black Sox won their first and so far only Championship, finishing the season 12-3.  That year coach Vaccaro was named the league's Manager Of The Year and their best player that season, Vito Marichal (nephew of the great Juan Marichal), was named the Championship MVP.  The Black Sox made the playoffs in five of their next seven seasons, including a Championship appearance in 2006 and a Conference Championship appearance in 2004.  Overall, the Black Sox have won 65 games in seven seasons in five years as a franchise, establishing themselves as one of the most elite adult baseball teams in Northern NJ.

The Black Sox will be playing their eighth season in six years as a franchise in 2008 with the MSM League, and will work eagerly to become champions once again.
