| TEAM RULES & GENERAL INFORMATION |
| - The Paterson Black Sox Baseball Club is an adult semi-pro baseball team that plays in the North Jersey area. - All players on the team roster must be 18 years of age or older. - Players are required to sign a waiver form mandated by the league. - Players fees must be submitted by scheduled deadline. Any player(s) who do not comply will forfeit their roster spot. - All players on the Paterson Black Sox Baseball Club are required to follow and abide by the team's and league's rules. Click here to view the league rule book. ATTENDANCE: - Attendance to baseball games are MANDATORY. It is the player's responsibility to contact the team manager via email, phone or in person a minimum of 48 hours prior to game time if a player is to be absent. - Practices are usually scheduled during the week and attendance is not mandatory. Contacting the team manager is not required if a player cannot attend a practice. - Players are required to show to the field of play at least one hour prior to the scheduled game time. It is the player's responsibility to contact the team manager if they will be late. If a player arrives to the game late without notifying the manager that player will not be entered into the game. - Habitual absense and/or tardiness will not be tolerated and a player may consequently be subject to a suspension or termination from the team. CONDUCT: - Verbal and/or physical confrontation with umpires, teammates and/or opposing players/fans will not be tolerated. Any incidents that occur will be handled on a case-by-case basis which may result in a fine, suspension or banishment from the league as well as the team. UNIFORMS: - It is mandatory that players wear the uniforms supplied by the team. - It is mandatory that a player wears the required apparel such as hat, socks, jersey, pants, cleats, etc. - Any player who arrives to a game without the required apparel will not be permitted to play. THE TEAM'S UNIFORMS ARE AS FOLLOWS: HOME: WHITE SLEEVELESS JERSEY, WHITE PANTS, BLACK SOX TEAM TSHIRT (UNDERNEATH JERSEY), BLACK CHICAGO WHITE SOX HAT AWAY: BLACK SOX TEAM TSHIRT, GREY PANTS, BLACK CHICAGO WHITE SOX HAT - A game is considered "home" when it is played on a PATERSON FIELD (Larry Doby Field, Buckley Park, Totowa Oval), regardless of how it is listed on the schedule. - A game is considered "away" when it is NOT played in Paterson, regardless of how it is listed on the schedule. - It is mandatory that the players clean their uniforms before game time. Any player who shows to a game with an unwashed uniform will not be permitted to play. GAMES: - All games are weekends ONLY. Weeknight games will only be scheduled in the event that rainouts and/or makeups occur. - Directions to fields can be found on the league website at www.scorebook.com by clicking and dragging the name of the field. STATS: - Team/player statistics will be taken every game. The stats will be manually entered on the league website within a couple of days after the game. - Players should contact the team manager with questions or disputes regarding team stats via email. ***ALL TEAM & LEAGUE RULES ARE SUBJECT TO INTERPRETATION BY THE TEAM MANAGER/LEAGUE COMMISSIONER*** |
