TWO NEW MEMBERS APPOINTED TO FRONT OFFICE

5/1/08
- The Paterson Black Sox have announced this week that they are adding two new members to their front office.  Jeff DiGiulio has been appointed as the Team Captain, and Josh "Oz" Osband has been appointed as the team's Assistant Manager.  Both players have showed excellent leadership throughout the season, and in past seasons, and are proven winners.  DiGiulio is the Black Sox third captain in team history.  Osband currently holds the third longest tenure on the team with five seasons in five years behind Scottie & Robert Vaccaro.

SOX OPEN SEASON WITH NEW FACES

4/2/08 - The Paterson Black Sox are days away from their 2008 Spring Season Opening Day.  The Black Sox are playing in the Roy Campanella AA Division with the MSM League, and are happy to return to the league after a dissatisfying experience with the ABA League.

The Black Sox began the year with disappointment.  Former assistant manager
Wil Villalba decided to create his own team again after two years with the Black Sox.  Ex-team captain Manny Rodriguez, along with other friends of Villalba and Rodriguez that played on the team followed.  The Black Sox were virtually left without a team.  However, the resilient Scottie Vaccaro and the Paterson Black Sox began heavy recruitment of new players to form a "new" team to replace the scabs that left.

With two months of hard work and preparation, coach Vaccaro created a team that is full of talented and well-rounded ball players.  The
2008 Paterson Black Sox are stronger, faster, are better offensively and defensively, and have a full arsenal of pitching.

With the "New & Improved" team, the Black Sox are expecting to have a memorable 2008 season, and possibly the best team they've had in years.
